Mel Kleweno practiced with the Curran Law Firm since moving to Kent in 1963. From his law school graduation in 1960 until 1963, Mel served on active duty in the United States Air Force having received a commission in 1957 from the AFROTC. He served in the Air Force Reserve after active duty until 1987 when he retired as a Colonel. Since receiving his L.L.M., Mel’s practice emphasis was on business, real estate, estate planning and administration matters.

PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Mel was active in the local community serving on numerous committees with the Kent Chamber of Commerce, Kent Rotary, and South King County Bar Association and served as President of each of these organizations. Mel was an 11-year Board member of the Community Health Centers in King County, a nonprofit corporation that operates six medical and four dental clinics for the uninsured and under insured of South County and Eastside communities.
